02-14-2012 11:28 AM #1Can anyone identify this Fire Truck?

Does anyone have any idea what year and make this old Fire Truck might be. It was posted on my hometown Historical Society Site. I've googled around with no success.

The grille emblem reminds me of an American Lafrance...

Don't know why this reply didn't post the first time but it looks like you have nailed it:
Take a look at these beauties.

 Hmmmm Jim, very interesting indeed - - - - - I didn't even know these 2 manufacturers existed - - - - good stuff !
Only comment that I might have is that it ?seems? that the American LaFrance kinda specialized in Fire Trucks..

We used to have a sub assembly shop near me for American Lafrance. So I recognized the emblem.

Actually, Nelson-LeMoon was a truck manufacturer in the twenties and probably made chassis' .... chassyes? ..... chaseeezes?... for several applications.

Also actually, I'm just being a wise-ass. I googled 1920's trucks and found one with a radiator and shell, front axle, etc. that pretty much matches the one in Emmett's picture.

Having come clean, I feel better now.
