I've never voted a straight ticket and there are certainly "horse's patoots" on both sides and the first vote I cast I'll have to admit was for Johnson in 64. Since I was in Okinawa at the time Ohio sent me a ballot and I filled it out. And like Jim said there were moderates on both sides and I tried to figure out who I thought would do the best job and I still look at it that way although the moderates have seemed to disappeared. I like Claire McCaskill, but she cast the deciding vote on Obamacare and that turned me off. The Senate race in Missouri is about the only thing I'm undecided on after Akin's gaffe.
