I bought Nod32 with this laptop about five years back and have not had any problems. If you go with it do your annual renewals through ESET, and they just extend your contract without having to hassle with new files, etc. Much easier. I use AVG on the desktop machine, and like Avast it has a free version, but you have to go in regularly to update the virus file info which is automatic if you pay them.
