Speaking of OF's, haven't seen any mention of "Wagon Train" with Ward Bond, "Cheyenne" "Gene Autry" or "Red Ryder". In Chicago we also got movie theatre serials on TV of western stories; Bob Steele, Harry Carey, and a whole bunch of other support actors who made a living wearing black hats in John Wayne cowboy movies.
Edit: Thinking of these made me realize there were probably a bunch more that hadn't popped to memory................................and of course there's a website (probably more than one) for that on the right side of the page:
http://www.fiftiesweb.com/western-3.htm About 4 inch down click the link for "full list of tv westerns".
Although, as much as I was a fan of the Zorro series, not sure that's exactly a western.Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 06-06-2011 at 07:32 PM.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
