Good move Roger, even tho I love God's creatures, when you see one that is normally nocturnal roaming around and not acting right then it's time to shoot first and ask questions later. We saw a red fox a couple of days ago and it was right next to the busy highway like nothing was going on at straight up 12 o'clock. I called the feller who's pasture it was in and made him aware of it. We have lots of skunks in this area and are seeing lots of road kill this time of year.

Did you take the Coon to get him tested for rabies?

Never had anything tested, Mello, and don't know anything about the process. On skunks, my oldest boy drove from here to Conroe, TX north of Houston last weekend to pick up a big wave runner and carried it back to the lake in MO, and he said that they saw at least 200 road kill skunks down and back. They're coming out of hibernation, but 200 in a weekend is a lot!!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Usually the County or Local Animal Control has a facility for that and there seems to be an awful lot of road kills this year.

Conroe, Texas? We just got back from there - - from taking my grandson home. Small world ain't it?
