thanks guys for the advice. he heard of a local guy today that does really good work for a reasonable price. he is going to call him monday. The reason that i do not want to do the job is that i am getting really close to finishing the monte and have thrown all my time and effort into that. I have tried to replace a clutch on these once before with a owner. the owner gave up as he could not get to the bolts to drop the tranny. so he sold it. The trooper has alot of miles but we do not know how many of them are off road as we are the 3rd owner. But hubby loves it and i understand that as i am that way about my car.BARB
