Thanks much for making for the birthday wishes!!!! I am really amazed that I've (almost) made it to 60, I guess just shows proof that God protects fools and drunks!!!! My girlfriend and my sisters threw a surprise Birthday party for me Saturday night...had a great time sharing memories from the past! Party was full of friends and family, and I did recieve some of the more "appropriate" gifts that one gets for turning 60---in one beautifully wrapped gift bag was 60 of the individually wrapped prunes, another had a quart of prune juice!!! My neices gave me some magnets with relevant old sayings and proverbs
, one of my nephews gave me a coffee cup that sez "How the !!?___**** did I ever live to be 60!. I also recieved a new cane, discount coupons for a motorized wheel chair and another for a pay in advance funeral!!!! and these were all from family, my friends weren't near as nice!!!!

Seems impossible to be 60, remember when we thought 40 was ancient and didn't trust anyone over 30??? Having a blast, two of my grandkids are visiting til Thursday and one more party tomorrow night with my business partners and lots more folks I've worked with over the years!!!
All in all I'd have to say that my decade of the 60's is starting out great and yes, I will be making my comeback at the dragstrip next summer!!! Thanks to all my good friends who always offer such sage advice here on CHR I plan on continuing the Hot Rodding as long as I possibly can!!! It gives me a chance to associate with the all the best people!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Go for it Dave...60 isnt old,as you said, when you are in your teens,it might be,,but you can get away with more as you get older,or so I am told...
Hey,I hope someone had the foresight to take some pics on Saturday evening...We need to see.....

Happy late birthday Dave!!!!!!
Sorry I wasn't around yesterday to wish you well. Gotta love the birthday cards that make yah feel older than you really are!
When I turned 40 I thought no big deal, until I got about thirty "over the hill" cards from friends and family!
Now as I approach 50 I wish my knees didn't hurt, and my hands didn't get so sore after a hour in the garden!
But inside I'm still quite young as I'm sure you are. Glad to see you enjoyed family time on your birthday. They look like a great group of folks to share your life with."
"No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
