Started as a lurker... Still lurking.
I sign in occasionally..This site is cool as its got a wide variety of projects & people posting here..
Plus... unlike my "regular" message boards, this one did not get eaten up & ruined by Autoforums... Hopefully brent won't ever sell out like so many others did.Ben

Oh dear!
I just showed this to She Who Must Be Obeyed and I hope you can run zig-zag Mr Parmenter!
Cos we're heading for the U.S. of A. (leaving to-morrow actually,) and She's gonna be looking for you!
Just found this thread; and I too have been guilty lately of just lurking but not posting.
No specific reason or excuse...this is a great forum with a wealth of interesting and helpful people.
It's just that sometimes I have nothing to say.
So I don't say it.johnboy

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
