I am always skeptical of posts like this, no offense intended to this poster who may have brought it from some where else. I have searched the web and found no other mention of this incident, including Snopes, Google, Bing, Yahoo, news sites and others. I am for immigration reform and enforcement as much as the next person, but fictional accounts told as truth only serve to hurt that effort, IMHO.

Pat, you may well be correct. I did not research this story; I got it in an e-mail and thought it was interesting and worth sharing, especially considering the very different way such an event would be treated in my country. I regret that Canada has swayed way too much toward protection of the guilty and here that cop would probably be arrested rather than commendated.

Must be something to do with the Commonwealth...The cops down here only carry a taser when such need arises..They are locked in the cars trunk until needed,,AND we dont have that many,as there are concerns over their safety...Yeah,they could KILL someone..
