    Don’t Mess With Texas Cops!

    Don’t Mess With Texas Cops!

What could happen if you screw with a Texas law enforcement officer - rather graphic.

Living on the border, Texans are all familiar with criminals coming over from Mexican gangs. In this situation, three armed felons crossed the Texas border and tried to rob an off-duty El Paso, Texas, police officer dressed in civilian clothes, while he stood in front of a bank. The plan was for two of them to grab his backpack and toss it to an accomplice on a stolen motorcycle.

However, this CCW El Paso Police Officer shot them ALL, managing to kill 2 immediately; the 3rd was shot in both arms and bled to death before help arrived.

How much did this TEXAN save the US taxpayer by not having to prosecute these worthless thugs?

Arrest and detention for 1 night = -$6,000

Transportation for deportation back to Mexico the next day = -$1,000

Air time for Obama to apologize in 30 min speech = -$25,000,000

    =$25,007,000

    Less

    Three .45 rounds = $.75

Auction 1 slightly used but scratched motorcycle = $2,500

    Taxpayer savings = $25,004,499.25

Not bad, not bad at all!

Unfortunately, here in Canada the cop would probably be jailed.
Remember, Freedom isn't Free, thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today.

Thanks for sharing. You have to smile.

If only there were more CCW holders able to defend themselves. I hope to never have to use my permit to defend myself but I.m glad I have the option.

Not Exactly True, Arizona did not dump the CCW law. WE passed a law that allows concealed carry without a permit....this is a quote from Wikipedia:

"On April 16, 2010, governor Jan Brewer signed into law a bill that legalizes the carrying of concealed firearms and other weapons in most places without a permit for adults over 21 years of age. Arizona will still issue concealed carry permits for purposes of reciprocity for carrying concealed weapons in other states and permits will still be required for carrying in certain sensitive areas within Arizona such as in bars or on school grounds. Open carry without a permit will still be legal in most places for 18-20 year-olds, and for emancipated juveniles. This law will take effect July 29, 2010. Arizona is only the third state in modern U.S. history (after Vermont and Alaska) to allow the carrying of concealed weapons without a permit, and it is the first state with a large urban population to do so.[17]

On foot, no permit is required to openly carry a firearm in a belt holster, gun case or scabbard. Generally, a person must be at least 18 years of age to possess or openly carry a firearm. However, this does not apply to:

    Juveniles within a private residence.
    Emancipated juveniles.
Juveniles accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian, or a certified hunter safety instructor or certified firearms safety instructor acting with the consent of the juvenile's parent or guardian.
Juveniles on private property owned or leased by the juvenile or the juvenile's parent, grandparent, or guardian.
Juveniles fourteen years of age and up engaged in any of the following activities:
Lawful hunting or shooting events or marksmanship practice at established ranges or other areas where the discharge of a firearm is not prohibited.
Lawful transportation of an unloaded firearm for lawful hunting.
Lawful transportation of an unloaded firearm between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. for shooting events or marksmanship practice at established ranges or other areas where the discharge of a firearm is not prohibited.
Activities that require a firearm related to the production of crops, livestock, poultry, livestock products, poultry products, or ratites or in the production or storage of agricultural commodities.[18]
The law regarding the carrying of firearms in motor vehicles by non-permit holders is complex and has been further muddled by court decisions. However, it is clear that no permit is required to carry a firearm in a vehicle if the firearm is in plain view or locked in a trunk or other place not immediately accessible. "Plain view" means that the firearm would be discernible from the ordinary observation of a person located outside and within the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. After the new Alaska-style carry law goes into effect, these restrictions will apply only to those under the age of 21."

YOU STILL need the CCW to buy a firearm without them doing the instant background check AND you still need a CCW to carry in the states that have recognize the Arizona CCW......a good reason to keep the CCW in effect....I am.

You can spin it anyway you want, but it's gone! Are you a cop by any chance? You have listed a bunch of garbage that really has nothing to do with anything. You sound unhappy about the change.

I am always skeptical of posts like this, no offense intended to this poster who may have brought it from some where else. I have searched the web and found no other mention of this incident, including Snopes, Google, Bing, Yahoo, news sites and others. I am for immigration reform and enforcement as much as the next person, but fictional accounts told as truth only serve to hurt that effort, IMHO.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Pat, you may well be correct. I did not research this story; I got it in an e-mail and thought it was interesting and worth sharing, especially considering the very different way such an event would be treated in my country. I regret that Canada has swayed way too much toward protection of the guilty and here that cop would probably be arrested rather than commendated.

Must be something to do with the Commonwealth...The cops down here only carry a taser when such need arises..They are locked in the cars trunk until needed,,AND we dont have that many,as there are concerns over their safety...Yeah,they could KILL someone..
