Good eye Glenn. The third eye would make me think that it would possibly 80's on up.
The silver one that's posted here is a '73 with steel wheels, steel bumpers and the ealier wrap around style marker lights give an early 70's appeal.
The 107 series always had a "wrap around" lens, just changed thruogh the years.
The rear lights also have the deep ribs and not the more traditionally later model "smoothed out" looking lenses with less extruded ribs in the face of the lens.
Pin pointing the year can be fun. The list Glenn gave gives a MB enthusiast something to base thier best guess with and I am no expert, I just work on more of them than I than a guy's supposed to.....
I would stick my neck out and place the bronze one at the early 80's and go bug the owner to narrow it down.
By the way, the 4.5 set up scoots very well. Another customer of mine has a '72 280 SEL with the same 4.5 in his and it rocks as hard as the sportier 450's. Gas mileage is not a friend in these series unless
you drive like the throttle's broken....

What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?
