    Had a friend with a '56 Bird and a 427 SOHC-that close enough?
Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

At this point, 4.6 DOHC engines and parts are easy to get. The availability of 427 cammer parts - well looking for hen's teeth might be easier. Then if you break it....all the tears.

Now, a 6.8 V10 Ford motor........Cubic inches are never to be discounted plus two more cylinders make life even gooder

35WINDOW flam-boozled me by showing a photo of a Boss 429. My dream forever has been a Boss in a '56 T-Bird, even over a cammer motor.

Now, for getting back to reality, the 4.6 DOHC would be my choice in an early car, or even a later car for that matter because it's affordable, beautiful and makes good power. But mainly because it's affordable.

Does anybody know what the trans is that's bolted up behind the motor on geoffav's car? That engine/trans unit would be fun in a Miata.
