The B-52 has crashed twice. Rather there have been two of these crashed....rather spectacularly to say the least. Complete with real fire and fire trucks.
Pilot error.

there are more videos of this.
This one went in too but has been since been made again. The owner/pilot is one of the best around. I've seen the show and he is great.

Mcminnville OR! The new home of the spruce goose! Very cool museum with the spruce goose taking up the entire building! Went there 4 years ago on vacation.

The OV-10s were used widely in Vietnam for forward air control. They were the crazy pilots who flew over enemy areas hoping to get shot at so the enemy would reveal themselves. Then they would turn around and fire a smoke rocket to mark the spot and the fast movers or A1Es would come in and pound them. Great they are being put to good civilian use.

The were preceded by the Cessna O1 and O2.
Now things are really getting serious with monster water tankers, check out this 747!

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Oh sure, calling air crew dudes names!!!!! Next thing you know, you'll be calling PJ's crazy dudes!!!!!

The OV-10, A1E, and Sandy pilots were a bunch of moderately insane dudes!!!! Might as well have painted them Florescent Orange and put big black targets on them!!! As a former Air Resuce guy, my hat is off to those Pilots, man they sure did their job well, making our job a heck of a lot easier!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

No pot in our back yard, just a fire somewhere outside of town!
Glad these guys were around to snuff it out!
Since you guys mentioned some millitary uses of the Bronco, here is another plane made to fly with chunks missing!

Pat
We saw one a few years ago at the Nevado Air Show. It was a stripped down model that did some incredible stuff in the air. We were talking to one of the pilots about it and he said, they wouldn't dare do the stuff that the Colonel did. Evidently they stripped hes plane of some of the armour and other non essentials for civilian air shows. The thing could practically hover in the air!
The little gatling gun on the front is a bit intimidating!
How's the R/c plane fly? 99"wing span is impressive!"

The motor on the far left is out of the Fokker D-VII Tri-plane (also called a flying chester drawers or snoopy's plane) behind them, it's a 38cc and the plane has a 6' wing span, and they are a Bit__ to land and not flip over.
I have over 100 airplane motors of every type & size, even Wankle rotory's for my smaller B-25
And lets not forget the polit that has jump out if the plane happens to get hit, he's R/C also!

Hemi T ,
The GAU-8/A seven-barrel Gatling gun found on the A10 Warthog is in fact a 30MM, not a 50 cal. The 50 cal round at .500 is less than half the size of the A10 Gatling guns 30MM which is 1.18110. Thought a plane guy like yourself would want to know that.
