when working with alum or steel on the lathe or mill i have used engine oil cut with mineral spirts keeps things from sticking . i use a small acid bush or spray bottle. add mix to work. this works good but may smoke abit .was well as some other cutting fluids . some guys use spray on furniture polishLast edited by pat mccarthy; 05-02-2009 at 06:49 AM.
