Actually, the Pledge of Allegiance is to the flag of the United States.

Our form of government is a democracy...or it was last time I checked.

Other then that, don't really have a clue what your post means.....

Sorry Dave, you got it wrong again. The United States is a Republic it is a Democracy as well but our form of Goverment is in fact a Republic.

This very fact is stated planly in Artical IV -- Section 4 of the Constitution. The quote ( and I have taken it directly from the Constitution) is credited to James Madison the fourth President and the man is is also credited with the writing of the Constitution, as well as the Bill Of Rights.

And I quote: Section 4 - Republican government

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

I'm pretty sure that the Constitution in calling "OUR" form of Gov't a Republic is correct.

Sorry Dave but no matter weather you are keeping score or not. You planly stated that our form of Goverment was a "Democracy" see your quote below
That would be INcorrect. It is not a Democracy it is a Republic. This simple FACT is taught in grade school man, ought to be right when you correct another poster like you did "firebird" here and on that other thread. Maybe he is keeping score, I just like to see things spoken about in a correct way.

And sense you mention it. You are correct in one of your statements. I do see things as "RIGHT" or "wrong" never did see those grey areas some talk about.
