Very interesting reading and remarkable parallels... except for the end result. Today's failed executives don't take the blame and blow their brains out; they get multi-million dollar bonuses while their employess go to unemployment.

My dad was a Studebaker lover and had a string of them. I learned to drive (at age 12) in a two-tone green '53 Commander hardtop. I, too, favor the Raymond Loewy designs. He was way ahead of his time... It was a sad day when Studebaker closed the doors on their long and storied history.
