Yep, Uncle Bob, I think the similarities of the events in Mr. Erskine's time and those of the present are pretty remarkable.

Even as old as I am I'm aware of only a smidgen (however much a "smidgen" is) of this part of automotive history. I guess my fondest memory of Studebaker has to be those beautiful Raymond Loewy designs, and they came about long after Mr. Erskine's death.
