Thanks guys, and I'm so sorry to interject such a downer subject into the forum. I just needed to talk to someone about it, and I feel most of you can relate.

On a slightly upbeat note, I went to the shop and brought Sniffy the other cat back home with me. She was looking all over for Scooter and is really freaked out. In fact, all weekend she was hiding in one of the shelves in the office and would hardly come out when I called her, which is very strange for her....she loves to have her back scratched. I think she could sense something was wrong.

Right now she is getting used to my room. I momentarily introduced her to Dan's 3 cats, and they didn't have many problems, just a little checking each other out. I think she will be fine here. She loves cardboard boxes, so I will pick her up one so she can really feel at home. One time we bought a new VCR and she adopted the box immediately, so we had to keep it sitting on the living room floor for a couple of months before my Ex-GF made me get rid of it.
