I remember flying out to Colorado in 1993 and looking down at the Mississippi river area. Areas on both sides of the river were under water. Horrible experience even for those use to it. I grew up near the water, and everytime we got a strong Nor'easter, a quarter of the town was under water. Used to make money rowing people from one bar to another.
I truly feel sorry for those folks in the midwest. Seems between the tornado's and the flooding they don't get much of a break.

We are over fllood stage now, the water is coming over the spillway at the reservroir and most of the housing and businesses along the river in Iowa City and Coralville are flooded. They are expecting another 5' of river rise in the next week. We had the big flood of 93 which was supposed to be the 100 year flood. Now they are saying this is a 500 year flood.
Wait.. I think I might have caught of glimpse of Noah. I'd better go see...
