ford2custom, It may sound like babbling to you and that's part of the problem. You simply do not understand the big picture. No, my mother should not have had the right to vote, nor my daughter. I love both of them, but women are not equipped to reason, they're only equipped to react to emotional input.

    Barb, where are you?

This mess didn’t happen over night, I just watched the second part of a two part series on Truman last night. The series before that was about Roosevelt. Yes, there was back room deals with cigar smoking, whiskey drinking deals being made. Japan would not surrender so Truman thought to save American lives he had to drop the bomb.

Truman was no saint. He had a criminal set him up into politics but after he saw with his own eyes what was going on he tried to do the right thing. Looking back through history we all think everything was fine but there were the rich big business owners just like today. Thank God we have some people in power that are not willing to go along with people that aligned themselves with the likes of Ken, Lay.

I’ve seen jobs offered for 100 people and over a 1,000 stand in line trying to get a minimum wage paying job. In the early 80’s work was bad, I cut grass for $4.00 and hour after making $18.00 an hour with very good benefits from my regular job, I shovel snow, painted houses for $5.00 an hour during the same period of time when work was bad. I said most of the people, not all, do not want to be a dependant upon the government.

When our politicians let Japan flood our Country with their cars, and would not let our cars into their Country that helped create the mess we are in. When the government let our companies go to other Country’s to make our products and send them back here they helped with the mess.

The article that Jim posted tells a lot of the crooked politicians lining their pockets. Look at our schools. The teachers look like bums. They use to dress like professional people. How can a student have respect for a male teacher having a ponytail and wearing blue jeans?

Most people if telling the truth, would say if asked who writes the checks in your house would say the wife. Who has the worries if the payment gets paid to the mortgage company? The women run the house not the man at least the ones I know. You may think I’m a weak person for saying that but unless you the worked as I did working in steel mills foundries, walking steel 300’ in the air putting up tower cranes. As an apprentice walking steel beams and carrying planks with a person behind hoping he does not screw up when your 13 floors with the ground below. I fell off a building busted both arms, and both knee's are bad one has had 5 surgery’s and it needs to be replaced, the other needs surgery. I still need more surgeries on my back but I’m too old to think I could get better. My back, and neck is so bad I feel like each morning just ended it to get rid of the pain.

I feel honored to have a wife who has stood by my side for 39 years.
Like I said in previous post I didn’t go to college, I finished high School in the Army, I did my part for this Country while others were dodging the draft. I would imagine a lot of those draft dodgers went on to be business owners getting rich. I wanted to make sure my daughter went to college so she could be equal to anybody but guys like you don’t think she deserved that right. My daughter is the sole provider in the family but I guess that doesn’t count. She has three young boys, and her husband is a college graduate from the one with gold top, so who is the bad guy? I tried to tell my daughter that she married into a family that believed in the women being bare foot and pregnant now she supports the family. The way people use other then their real names that could have been written by her husband because he truly feels that way and she is bringing home the paycheck that he is the disburser of.

I thought when you wrote that post yesterday that you may have had too many cold ones but now I’m not so sure, and if other people believe this way of thinking we are really in trouble.

One of the jobs that I worked on was at a chemical plant, which later exploded, and a highly educated lady chemist was missing. Ironworkers were sent in to recover her body. I found the lady and believe me; you don’t want to pump lead into anyone unless maybe you’re willing to go to Iraq. There are women over there that will sacrifice their life to kill our Soldiers.

    From your post....
    "Barb, where are you?"

I don't think we're going to see Barb weighing in on this subject. I've already alienated her with a previous rant in another thread about liberal, socialist Democrats.

"Looking back through history we all think everything was fine but there were the rich big business owners just like today."

Yes and thank God there are business owners. Men who have the foresight to step out there and take a chance with their money. Men who provide jobs and pay exorbitant taxes to support those who won't get up off their a**. If someone has the intellect to start and grow a company, that means he is smarter than most of us. I have no problem with someone being smarter than I am. It's the handiwork of God. Some were endowed with superior intelligence and some were not. Just the way it is. This country was based on capitalism and there are some out there, again, who have what it takes to make it work for them and provide jobs for others who lack similar intelligence. If it were not for business owners, we would be just another socialist group doing each other's laundry and creating no wealth for the country.

"In the early 80’s work was bad, I cut grass for $4.00 and hour after making $18.00 an hour with very good benefits from my regular job, I shovel snow, painted houses for $5.00 an hour during the same period of time when work was bad."

I applaud you and respect you Sir, for taking the bull by the horns and doing what it took to survive instead of rolling over and accepting a government handout.

"When our politicians let Japan flood our Country with their cars, and would not let our cars into their Country that helped create the mess we are in. When the government let our companies go to other Country’s to make our products and send them back here they helped with the mess."

I absolutely agree. Back in the 70's, I was doing some import/export. One particular item I was exporting to Australia suffered a 40% duty going into their country. The same type of item made in Australia and imported into this country suffered a duty of 5%. Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture? Warren Buffett, a man waaaaaaay smarter than I am, has offered a solution to the problem, but it has fallen on deaf ears in our government.
America's Growing Trade Deficit Is Selling The Nation Out From Under Us. Here's A Way To Fix The Problem--And We Need To Do It Now. - November 10, 2003

"The article that Jim posted tells a lot of the crooked politicians lining their pockets. Look at our schools. The teachers look like bums. They use to dress like professional people. How can a student have respect for a male teacher having a ponytail and wearing blue jeans?"

Yep, another critical problem area in our society. I've talked to teachers to find out the problem and am told that for the most part, they are disillusioned with the whole thing. They get paid only a fraction of what they are actually worth while being ram-rodded by administrators who make 6-figure salaries for moving paper around. One teacher told me that there is 1 administrator for each 3 teachers. Many of these teachers go into their own pockets to buy teaching aids because the school cannot or will not supply them with the proper tools to get the job done. Does anyone see a problem here? Then there is the problem with the students. Many of them do not speak English, so a translator must be present to explain the teaching lesson. How the hell did this happen? Why can't anyone but me see that the entire system is upside-down? How have we allowed legislators to bring the system to this point? I'll tell you how. By allowing silly, emotional women to vote in their favorite liberal, socialist Democrat because it "makes them feel good". Just look at this board and other boards on the net and pay attention to the sentence structure and spelling by some of the contributors. I'm ashamed for them, because they don't have the common sense to be ashamed for themselves and realize that they're uneducated. This is the result of a liberal, socialist "feel good" policy. "No child left behind". What the hell does that mean? When I was in school, there were plenty of children left behind to repeat the grade if they had not learned what was being taught. And if there was misbehavior in the classroom, the student was invited out into the hall where a 4" wide "board of eduction" was applied to his/her backside. But nooooo, we can't do that anymore. We might injure little Shanaya's self-worth. BULL HOCKEY. Little Shanaya, with her quasi self-worth intact, will more than likely end up a crack whore on the streets.

"The women run the house not the man at least the ones I know."

Yes, because the men allow it to happen. That, again, is what's wrong. Us men have ceded waaaaay too much power to women.

"I feel honored to have a wife who has stood by my side for 39 years.
Like I said in previous post I didn’t go to college, I finished high School in the Army, I did my part for this Country while others were dodging the draft. I would imagine a lot of those draft dodgers went on to be business owners getting rich."

Congratulations on finding a good woman to share your life. God bless you and God bless her. I also am a veteran and have no respect for those who dodged the draft, but if they were smart enough to get rich as business owners, that just means that they are smarter than I am. No problem.

"My daughter is the sole provider in the family but I guess that doesn’t count. She has three young boys, and her husband is a college graduate from the one with gold top, so who is the bad guy? I tried to tell my daughter that she married into a family that believed in the women being bare foot and pregnant now she supports the family. The way people use other then their real names that could have been written by her husband because he truly feels that way and she is bringing home the paycheck that he is the disburser of."

    She has an option.

"I thought when you wrote that post yesterday that you may have had too many cold ones but now I’m not so sure, and if other people believe this way of thinking we are really in trouble."

I stopped drinking in 1987, the day after my 45th birthday. I contend sir, that if more people thought the way I do, we wouldn't be in this pickle in the first place. In some ways, you seem to be a rational person, but you simply, in my opinion, do not see the big picture. You are so far on the wrong side with your thinking that you simply can't see the middle any more, much less move to the side that would allow you to make decisions to bring this country back to where it should be. But at least you're in the majority, so just sit tight and go with the mainstream if that's your choice.

"One of the jobs that I worked on was at a chemical plant, which later exploded, and a highly educated lady chemist was missing. Ironworkers were sent in to recover her body. I found the lady and believe me; you don’t want to pump lead into anyone unless maybe you’re willing to go to Iraq. There are women over there that will sacrifice their life to kill our Soldiers."

Well, at least those women have the courage of their convictions. That's what they have been taught from day one. You believe what you have been taught from day one, so how can you say they're wrong and you're right. We are all a product of what we have been taught, be it good, bad or indifferent from a moral standpoint. All I'm saying with my "lead poisoning" statement is that we need to cull the chaff from the seed. Take a look at nature. Created by God, would you agree. The weaker, non-productive members are culled as a hot lunch for the animal next up in the food chain. They are not left in the mix to pass on inferior genes to subsequent generations. Of particular interest in this vein are birds. If a chick pops out of the shell that is not a perfect specimen, the mother bird pushes it out of the nest and it becomes cat food. The mother is programmed by God Almighty himself to insure that only the productive members of her brood will survive. To leave the inferior bird in the nest and have to feed it for the rest of its life is not an option.

My sincerest thank you to Bill S. and other moderators who have allowed me the opportunity to vent my feelings on this non-automotive subject.

Richard. I read your statement several times. Correct me if I am wrong. What you are saying is that if someone is inferior they sould be culled? What kind of asshole statement is that. If that were trues we would not have Hawkings or Einstein or all the others that have contributed to our society. Whether you like it or not women have been helping run this nation for many generations. Elanor roosevelt was he husbands legs for many years. Regan was senile before he left and Nancy was running things. Not only do we deserve the vote but we should have had it from the beginning. If you do not believe that women contribute much then you must have not thought much of your mother. as for the democrat remark. you did not offend me. I just chose to let it go. Must be my female emotional reasoning to not argue with people who are obiviously ignorant of the world around them.

"What kind of asshole statement is that."

Here's a perfect example of an inferior mind that is unable to mount an intelligent argument and must resort to profanity. Also, the omission of a question mark at the end of the sentence validates my argument concerning the lack of a good education.

It's all very simple. If everyone bucks up and contributes, then the society advances as a whole. If non-productive members are allowed to proliferate, society as a whole will begin a decaying process until nothing is left.

"you must have not thought much of your mother."

My personal feelings concerning my mother have nothing to do with the argument at hand and furthermore, are none of your business. This is simply further evidence of a weak mind attempting to mount an argument for which it is ill prepared and resorting to personal jabs involving my family in a feeble attempt to prevail.

"Must be my female emotional reasoning to not argue with people who are obiviously ignorant of the world around them."

Au contraire little girl, I contend that I am very well aware of the world around me and am passionate about changing it before it is too late. Furthermore, I contend that it is "female emotional reasoning" that has helped to get us to this mess in the first place.

Barb, I'm not saying it's your conscious choice to be emotional. It's just the way your brain is wired. Women are wired to be in the cave, tend to the younguns, fashion garments and cook. No logic, just emotions. (I wonder if this Mammoth pelt would look better on this wall....or that wall?) Men are wired to fashion a sharp stick and go out hunting for dinner. No emotions, just logic. (If I stay downwind of the beast, he won't catch my scent.)

For those of you who still don't understand my explanations concerning culling, again, look to nature. There you will find God in its simplest form. Eat or be eaten. No gobble-de-gook about what you can and can't do that was dreamed up by goofy mortals who preceded us. Nature is God-made. Religion is man-made and in my opinion is a very large part of what has brought us to this mess. It's the "feel good" and "give it all away" mentality of religion that holds us down in the scum at the bottom of the pond.

OK, your turn. Now sit down and try to formulate a sensible, logical rebuttal instead of coming off the top of your head with some emotional, illogical tripe.

Tech I respect your car knowledge, but grow up and come out of the stone age. this is just offensive! Women have provided far more than your limited arguments elude too. Rush limbo tried this stuff until people saw him for what he was. Lets get back to car talk, where your opinion is valuable and sensible.

My point of view is offensive to you. Watching the demise of the Great American Democracy is offensive to me. I'm not in a popularity contest here. I couldn't care less what you or anyone else reading this thinks about me. I'm getting this off my chest in hopes that I can shock some of you into recognizing the reality of the situation. The vast majority of you can't see past your noses and it makes me want to puke.
YouTube - Network - Mad as hell

"Women have provided far more than your limited arguments elude too."

What exactly is your point. This is too vague for me to put any value on as an argument. Also, your use of the word elude when you should have used the word allude shows me that you are sorely lacking in education. And just so you know, allude means indirectly. You should know by now that there is absolutely nothing indirect about me. Limited arguments? I thought I had run the gamut.

"Rush limbo tried this stuff until people saw him for what he was."

I give up, what was he? I assume you mean Limbaugh. What exactly does "this stuff" mean?

"Lets get back to car talk, where your opinion is valuable and sensible."

This is not the only current thread on the board that I'm participating in. It's just that this is the one I'm currently passionate about.

Have some of you forgotten THIS POST Yes this is a hot topic, one with opposing views and what seems like off the wall comments or ideals, so the question I have back to ALL OF YOU is, do you really need to get your jollies by putting someone else's views down in such a harsh way? Think about it before you hit the reply button again.

Boy, did I get in the wrong thread or what. I just came in here to read what people were saying about gas and find a discussion about women's lack of abilities or whatever. Since I am new here and am not interested in getting raved at, I will limit my post to the price of gas. It costs to much.
