Indiana Jones
I just saw the new movie. It looked like the engine in the roadster was a SB Chevy. Correct me if I'm wrong. Shouldn't it have been a flathead?

The boys and I watched Indy Friday and I wondered the same thing until the movie flashed that the date was supposed to be occurring in about 1957 or there about so it could have easily have been appropriate for the rod to have a SBC. The other question that went through my mind was how could a flathead Ford keep up with the hopped up SBC. Especially since I don’t remember the car having the V8 badges on the fenders which would have made the engine a 6 cylinder. But I guess everything else on the movie was just pure true life. Ha!!

Quite an enjoyable film. I thought Don and Dan would appreciate the Ford Fordor in that race you refered to. I'm willing to bet their chopped version, when done, would give that sbc a run for the money!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
