Wow! That really sucks! I too hope it's recovered. I think that getting the word out and posting flyers in as many places as possible is, like Erik said, about the only thing you can do. The internet helps get the word out, as these are often transported elsewhere as quickly as possible.

My dad had a '55 Chevy Convertible stolen from him back in the mid 70's. He never did get it back. I hope your friend has better luck.
