While on the west coast we went to South Moon Bay recently with a really good friend to spread some of Denise‘s ashes on the West Coast and let Suzie step foot in the ocean for the first time. Yes we had a great time together.….joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

well it`s been over a month since a person ran over my toyota and narrowly missed killing me and i have not heard a word from her or her insurance company .. it is my own fault that i am difficult to get hold of as i dont have a working phone sort of .. it only works when my internet is on .. but im` sure they have my mailing address and perhaps even my email .. i have not made a copy of the accident report as i dont know how to .. you have to scan something with a cell phone and send it to a printer somewhere .. i dont have that ,, i am going to stop by my insurance provider and see what they say or can do even though they are not responsible to do so ,, there were 2 eyewitness recordings of the event but i dont know how to get copies of them ,, the state trooper saw the citizen videos ,, it aint a real big deal but if someone owes me 5 or 6 grand for destroying my car i need to collect .. i did not have the towing company bring my car to my home .. they have sold it to pay for storage .. it was not fixable anyway but it was still my car ,, stupid me ,,,iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

From a quick Google search,
"Under Alabama law, crash victims must file a claim or lawsuit against the at-fault driver within two years of the crash. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your right to compensation."
Looks to me like the ball is in your court, and her insurance company isn't going to reach out to you to volunteer anything. As a "fault state" it's up to the injured party to figure out who all to go after to get what's due, and there may be multiple claims or lawsuits for a single accident. For example, you get hit at an intersection by a car that runs the red light, and from the investigation it's found that they've been drinking and are well over the limit. You have a claim against her, but you also might have a claim against the bar or restaurant that over served her and allowed her to leave. If the review shows that she swerved to miss a car pulling out of a parking lot before hitting you there may be another claim against that driver. Your insurance company may be able to offer some guidance, and if you had full coverage (collision, comprehensive and liability) on the 'yota they may take the lead going after the gal, but you may need to hire an attorney to get your money.
On the accident report, you can walk into the police station and get a hard copy of the report. You may have to visit the highway patrol office too, but I expect that they've compiled it into one document. The instructions for phone & computer are a convenience, and old school still works. Bottom line, in a fault state you have to look out for yourself and make justified claims based on the facts. Good luck!Last edited by rspears; 08-28-2022 at 06:34 AM.

Maybe he's a Dad and he is worried about his kids..??..?? If he's doing these burnouts a lot, I'd be pissed off too.
And putting out that sign is at least a polite way of saying knock it off! imho

i am going to speak again with my insurance company .. i dont know my current agent as my policy has changed hands several times in the last 40 plus years i have been with them ,, but the local office is run by a relative of mine ..i know now i messed up right from the beginning of the wreck ,, i kicked my way out of the drivers door as it was crunched up pretty good ,, i was standing in front of my car looking at the damage and the fellow who videoed it all came up to me and told me i had blood running down my face .. i did not feel that .. the state trooper asked if i needed an ambulance ,, i said no ,, anyway i had a slight headache for the next two weeks .. i was looking left into the parking lot when i was hit and my head hit the drivers door glass cutting me a bit .. looking back i should have at least had myself looked at for a possible mild concussion and a big payday lawsuit but i dont run that way .. if they will make a little bit of effort to replace the yota i will be happy ,,iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

Visiting Idaho Falls and this is one of the many things I’ve seen While visiting. They also have a great park along the river where they have a water fall right on the river and a shallow water turbine power plant… joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Run it till it don't!.

always get and look at those purchase receipts .. i have ample funds in two bank accounts so i dont pay a whole lot of attention to my credit/debit card transactions ..but for some reason yesterday i decided to look at a receipt i got from a store i have been doing business with for over 40 years ,, of course it has changed owners several times and the newest owners are indians ,, not american type .. anyway my purchase of a 15 pac of sudwiesers should have been a little over 11 $ ,, i see on the reciept it is 22 $ ,, i inquire and am met with " OH .. my mistake .. i charge u twice << ,, later that day i am at oriellys buying spark plugs for the susuki ,, i pulled one out and the gap was about an 1/8 of an inch .. i buy 6 new ones at 9 $ a piece ,, 54 $ plus a bit of tax ,, again i look at the reciept and see 110$ out of my account ,, same result ,, Oh .. MY Mistake ,, i guess i charged you twice ..,, look at those reciepts especially if they ask you if you want a copy ,, the plugs did not improve the running by the way ,, the thing is a 5 thousand pound slug with a 110 horse 3.6 engine ,, it is the slowest vehicle i have ever owned ,, dump trucks and school busses leave me sitting in the dust . it will gear down twice going over a small rise ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

cutting the grass in a drought is the worst thing you can do. not only does it take in dew but stores it for the roots. also keeps the soil cooler . my Saint Augustine is a ft tall and will stay that way until fall. i also dont rack leaves. i run my mower over it in spring and i've still got a green lawn .

as stated this XL 7 Suzuki is about the most incredible vehicle i have ever owned but i have been very displeased with its performance .. it wont get out of its own way . the computer has it shifting gears at about every 12 hundred RPM . . well cruising around just now i noticed that M on my shifter .. P . R .N . D . M .. .. Hmmnn .. manual mode .. first couple of times i tried i hit the shifter the wrong way ,, either nothing happened or it geard down while going too fast .. finally figured out it is basically a slap stick .. bump it forward 4 times and you`re in top gear ..jerk it backwards to gear down or it will gear down and reset on its own when you stop .,, it runs just fine when you take the rpm up to about 3 grand before you shift .. may shorten the life of the engine or trans though .. i played around with my code reader and figured out how to use the voltage side of it .. i found out how to test my cam sensors and found one of my new ones was bad ,, tested my old ones and found a good one ..anyway i still get all the cam related codes every 20 miles and i`m not gunna put a chain in this thing .... tested some fixall products that did nothing .. next post maybe .iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
