I must say, you've had one hell of a life's experience. That stuff you're going through with your daughter and grandchild rips me up just reading about it........can't accurately imagine how it's going for you.

By comparison it seems whatever silliness that goes on here is pretty small potatos, though obviously enough to cause you to bare your soul. I had such a moment myself a few years back as regards what went on around here. It had gotten REAL nasty to the point where eventually a few folks were permanently banned and a goodly number of my online friends left, never to return. Having been at the door of the clubhouse since it opened I hated seeing that happen, but it did. Fortunately it hasn't gotten that bad since, and I think that's because certain of the membership take it upon themselves to try to quell these things before they get too out of hand. We'll never be able to eliminate confrontation, it's a human condition, but we can keep it to a low roar.

Hopefully you'll be able to sort all this out and take to heart all the encouragement that's been/being extended. Besides, we old time drag race enthusiasts are a shrinking group, we need you to help carry the torch.

Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
