It's been since Feb that the last time I donated. Bill's right, no matter where you live there are shortages all over. I happen to be O- and there is always a shortage for the O types here. I guess I'm heading in this afternoon. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

I am A+ myself Bill, so I can't help out there. I also don't know if they'd take blood so soon after my operation???? I will check it out this afternoon anyway.

I hope the best for your son and you.Duane S

 Bill,
The best of luck to you and your son. While I can't give - I have, according to a doctor, some unpronounceable liver condition that has no effect on my life, but precludes me from donating my AB+ blood to anyone.

What I will do is to give a call to a few friends and suggest that they pass the word as well as donate themselves. It looks like most forums but the Ford truck that I subscribe to are covered and I'll do that now.

Me and my family prayers for you and your family Bill, especially your son. I live too far a way and also have A+. but I think we all need to remember to give blood when we can. We never know who will need that pint we just gave.

Dang it, Bill, I'm O+ but I last donated only three weeks ago so I'm ineligible (I'm on a regular donation schedule and they call me in as regular as clockwork).

My son is out of the country and will be back Sunday night. He's O-. Could a donation then be credited to your boy's account?

Also, can a donation in Texas be credited to his account? I'm sure he would be more than willing to help if he can.

Thoughts and prayers are with you,

 Jim

That's a great idea you guys have about posting on other forums, especially one the size of the HAMB. I'll do the same on two others I belong to.

We other Dads and Moms know how you feel Bill. It doesn't matter if your kid is a baby or 60 years old, they are still your kid. Someone will come through, keep your chin up bud.
