I was doing a advance search on this site. I saw that i could include the childrens forum. What is the childrens forum? The reason I am asking is because my 14 year old son loves old cars and wants to talk to everyone here but does not own a car yet. Can he join?BARB

Sorry, just on the generic software menu, otherwise not an active forum of sorts.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

 Barb,

Just as long as you as the parent realize that adult conversations will be accessed by him.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

I think 14 is a great age to get started on the Hot Rod deal. By that age I was an old hand at Hot Rods, hung out at one of the local racer's garage and by age 14 I had progressed from floor sweeping to parts washing and putting tools away!!!!! Never too young to start. There certainly is a lot worse activities to get involved in then Hot Rods!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Wish I had been 15 or 15 when I joined this site. But the site would have been hosted on a Univac computer and access would have only been available thru either the NSA or DOD.
Other than that most of the discussions here would be clean enough for most Sunday school classes. However we do get an irrational idiot that spoils it. Bob

If he wants a Mopar, talk him into a Dodge Dart/ Demon, or Plymouth Duster. buy a 6cyl car cheap, change the K member, put in a 318, he'll have a decent car, as long as the tortion bar mounts arn't rusted out. could even build the 6 up to 300 hp easy. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

he really wants to talk to all of you about all types of cars. as soon as he gets his email verification he will introduce himself. I just want him to start out with a slower car until he learns to handle one. He takes more after me than his dad. Dad's hero is dale Jr. and I am a J Force fan. needless to say we have very interesting conversations here on sunday all kidding aside I believe that all young people should know what a car is and how to do at least general repair. He hopes on graduation 4 years from now that he will attend U.V.A and get into auto engineering. all kidding aside I believe that all young people should know what a car is and how to do at least general repair. Yeah a Vega!! Shoehorn in a blown 454 and he'll have a real car. GM always wanted to build them that way, but they got sidetracked with all of the bad press about those puny 4's.
