I think the best use for that rig has already happened, take some artsy pictures of it and sell them at the next swap meet. Be sure to use black & white film!
I agree with others, better pass on this one. As others have siad find a running or near running car that does not require too much body work. Mechanical work is way easier to learn, and finding someone willing to work on restoration/custom body work when you realize you don't know how to do it yourself is very difficult these days. Not to mention very expensive. Figure $75 per hour shop rate for hundreds or hours. Plus materials.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
