25 Years Union Heavy truck machanic . Rebuild diesel and gas engines . Rebuild transmissions and rear ends . All brake and suspension work . Rewire trucks and some small body work . Also shop union steward . Very hard work but still fun and COOL

Well I started working in the coal mines back in 1918 for the Army. Then....
Just kidding, that was my great grandfather that did that and it wasn't in 1918 it was in the 30's I think.
I am only 20 years old, I started a few years ago at a hot rod shop, recently quit a couple of months ago because of the environment and boss. Right now I am working at a used car lot detailing cars (big downstep) which is just temporary until I figure out what else to do (thinking about law enforcment).
I am also doing side work such as painting, body work, etc. I just did a custom paint job and graphic work on a Ez Go golf cart with a college theme and about to do another one in the next few weeks in a teal color with wheels, low profile tires, lower it, chop the top, stereo, etc etc.
Who knows, maybe I will start fixing up motorcycles and golf carts, I have a few lined up right now. LOL
Now one job I have heard about that I thought would be awesome was the one where people test out US military base security and it is a very dangerous job. Not sure if they even do this anymore but a old guy told me about how he used to do it and I thought that would be cool since I never did the Army.

24 years construction....mostly electrical and Instrumentation..last 12 of those years in the middle east as a project manager...finished building a 6 car garage with work shop back home and trying to fill it up with old cars to work on when i retire...haven't even finished my house yet...guess you have to know your priorities...trying not to buy any more toys until the house is finished...will not buy anymore cars.....will not buy anymore cars...will not buy anymore cars...lol

I started out in an independent Parts House (kinda like a NAPA),worked for a Cadillac and Chrysler Dealer, then worked my way up to Parts Manager at a Chevy Dealership. From there became a Heavy Equipment Operator, then went into the Heavy Equipment Industry-started in '79, and went from Parts Manager to Parts & Service Manager. From there I became a General Manager, and have been one for over 15 Years , overseeing four John Deere Dealerships-that burned me out-(although the money was good). Now, I am a GM for two John Deere Dealerships, and it is much easier-

Let's see.....5 years on the docks...1 year OTR driver....6 years Industrial Maintenance....2 years motorcyle tech....8 years lineman (telco)....and the last year in fiber transport/special circuits. The stress level seems to have gone up with each change. LOL's!

Been there done that kind of guy.Ex Mfg. Engineer,Tool and Die Shop owner(sold in 97),retired enjoying the fruits (34 Cpe.) of my labor.

I own a plumbing & HVAC shop
My wife & I own a filing service for CPA's & corporate attorneys- including the IRS.
On the side- I plumb street rod & race car chassis in stainless AN hard line.

Started on my Grandma's Farm in the central valley, doing everything from weeding, and cutting canes to harvesting raisons at the age of 12. As an adult, I started with kids, working with youth at risk, then moved on to be a Marine Biologist, taught at Newfound Harbor Marine Institute, Worked seasonal jobs including, Construction, Agriculture and as a First Mate in the Virgin Islands, Wilderness Adventure and Back country trips, Foreign Fishery observer in the Berring Sea on a Korean vessel, Abalone Farmer, Taught technology(and managed a computer lab) at a Learning Enrichment Center, and finally ended up as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(working with kids at risk in a different sort of way).

I waitressed and worked in restaurants most of the time up until I got married in 2000. In between waitressing jobs I worked for an alarm company, did retail inventory and worked at a gas station. Since 2000, I have worked at a check cashing place, a retail furniture store, a loan company and a bank. Now I work for H&R Block during tax season (On and off since about 1995) and my husband and I own our own auto restoration/customizing shop. We build street rods, custom cars and do restorations. I take care of the books and the ordering and am beginning to learn more about fabrication, welding, painting, etc. He says sandpaper and die grinders seem to fit my hand really well,

I am in the Special Forces, I travel all over the world, have girlfriends in every country, shoot people and whatever else I need to do... I wish.

whenever i drop this weight i have im joining the army ASAP.
