Nice score! It definitely looks like you've got your work cut out for you though! I can't think of anything you're going to get as a donor with a full frame aside from a truck or maybe a trail blazer. A trailblazer SS would be cool. You'd have an all wheel drive party mobile. The F bodies are uni body as are the Vettes as far as I know. Some Impalas had them but again, no full frame. To get what you want may require 2 donors. Or just get the early E lcamino G body and then get a 5.3 and 4L60E out of a yard or CL. You can usually buy them for under a grand these days.

I hadn't even considered 4WD. That would be very cool.

It's not going "In the weeds", nor big power. It's going to be a practical daily driver. I've proven myself much more adept at getting them roadworthy than pretty, so I'd like to keep it in "patina" and see how I like driving it as such.

Keep the comments coming, they are really helping.

    Ok, progress.

I'm looking into renting a building for the build.

Moving my lift will be a pain.

    FAIL.

I made an offer of $2400 cash sum for a 12 month lease for a building which has been largely vacant for the last five years. The owner said she was interested in the offer, only to counter with a $400 / mo on a by - month basis.

Hell no. Get six months into the project and have her jack up the rent?

Besides, that would be enough to cover a mortgage payment.

It never ceases to amaze me how people are willing to let property sit vacant rather than rent them for a penny less than full market value.

Well, the county will tax it at commercial rate whether she rents it or not. She paid 2018 taxes without rent revenue, we'll see how 2019 treats her.

I've got an eight day break this month.

I'm going to put a bug in his bonnet and get the old heap delivered! Gotta get some metal for patching the roof and floor, I'm thinking 20 ga. Never tried POR, maybe now is the time.

Also, going to break out the Eastwood catalog. Might be time to indulge my tool fettish.

Oh darn, (edited) I was going to get a new tool box for work this month. Hmm.

This link says the 1950 Plymouth 2dr sedan also came in 111" wheelbase, which might offer a few more frame swap options if that's the one you have...

I got permission to take some material home from work yesterday: SPACE CLOTH! No kidding, non-woven double stitches, carbon fiber cloth. The customer uses this to make satellites and rockets! $50/lb. This stuff was the scrap generated on the front of the run, as the product changed over. About 50 linear feet, four foot wide.

Nice, looks like you better get busy. Did you get any plans nailed for sure on the build?

Start with the roof. Then the floor. Then rockers, which fell off onto the ground. Replacement windows to keep the rain off the new floor. Can I get glass cut for that, or do I have to track down original?

It's probably all flat glass so it's easy to have it cut using the old ones as a pattern.

A new job to the front of the list: the body is buckled. Hopefully popping the roof back out will pull in some, but how do I get it straight before repairs?
