Yes I am looking forward to it although I think we are getting into the rainy season here. I got some shots of the gas rods for the trunk. The original kit had a prop rod too. Kootenai Valley Customs makes a kit to put the shocks in and it really makes the whole trunk setup a pleasure to use.

Car is done except for the window whiskers. We are waiting on parts to get here to finish them. Hood is perfect, fenders mounted, three point seatbelts installed, radio works, interior lights work, and weatherstripping all complete except the windows.

Amazingly, it seems the last and simplest step, sealing the door windows has been the most challenging. The thinness of the material in the top of the door led us to reinforce it only to discover the strips of window wipes would not fit the reinforced edges. We looked around and while there are a lot of good solutions out there we just did not have the necessary materials or understanding to implement or copy someone else so we just fabricated our own as best we could. The solution, our solution, involves two pieces of angle iron on each side of the slot, glued into place with the felt strips glued to them in a fashion that supports and guides the window. Simple enough but a bitch to execute. Here are some early stages, gluing the angle iron to the door.

I'll bet that was nerve wracking!

Tedious is a better way to describe it

The details are always nerve racking. Perhaps that's why they say the devil is in the details, but they are what separates decent cars from really good cars.

I was over at my friends shop this weekend, you know him as Duff33 on the FFR forums. He has started working on his windows and the measurements they give you to locate the space for the window, and then install the seals... they just don't seem to work out right. Gonna take some more thinking and measures I think. LOL
Yours looks very very nicely done!

Excrutiating tinkering to get it there. I think he used a plate across the top, I like that approach

Got some better shots of the finished door window seals today. I have to say I am excited about the job the guys did.

Looks SO much better than what FFR gives you to use!
