    Nice work! Rolling your sleeves up may have netted some itchy-ness though. That's one of the things about it that bothers me some times. But it sure beats fixing rust!!!

    Thanks meller. I am truly blessed. I don't get on here very much but I try to update things as often as I can. Things are starting to slide a bit with the family. My daughter is 16 (one word BOYS) so I've lost her for the most part but she will lend a hand if asked. The garage has become a dangerous place for my disabled son, so my wife says (I tend to agree) with all the welding grinding and now fiberglass all over the place he (WILL) end up tracking it in the house or worse yet walking through all this in his bare feet. He just doesn't get the "You're gonna get something in your foot" concept. The wife lends me a hand when the two I have are just not enough. She is also very busy running the household (Not an easy job by any means).

    More updates: The chassis is all welded up by a pro welder so I've been doing some grinding to purty things up a bit. I boxed in the front frame horns and cut slots to slide the nerf bars in. They will be held in place with two 5/16-24 bolts threaded thru spreader bar end caps. I'm currently working on the spreader bar made from a model A cross bar. I installed weld nuts to the frame so I don't have to crawl under to put the nuts on. The trany crossmember has been modified. The steering brace for the bearing is all welded in as well as the brackets for the split wishbones. I notched the front crossmember to clear the spring as well as added one of those U-boltless kits to hold the spring in place. She is almost ready for powder coating. I should also add that the steering is all figured out and was mounted, the gas and brake pedals are also all set. The brake pedal had to be modified a bit to clear the column and have room for the gas pedal. All I have left on the frame is 8 weld nuts (4 for the gas tank & 4 for the spreader bar), the thru the frame brake fittings up front and some kind of fitting for the headlight wires to run thru. Now on to some pictures.

    Wow, that frame is certainly looking cool now and I must say, I do like those Nerf bars on the front. Your fibreglassing came out brilliant also. Thanks for the update, we really appreciated them Jim.

    Thanks for all the kind words fellas. I know it's my car but it's nice to see other people like it too. As for the hugs and kisses; not this week. She gave me her cold and I don't want to keep passing it back and forth but I'll pass along the sentiments.

    It's been a bad weekend. I had to work Saturday and I have a cold that is kicking my ass so I didn't get much done. I did however work on my front spreader bar. I tossed the radiator and grille in to mock it up. I wanted it to be a bolt in but the flanges wont fit because it has to be moved so far forward to clear the grille. I'm fine with welding it in permanently. So tell me what you all think.

    Looks good Jim! I suppose it's just the angle you took the pic from, but the grille isn't touching the spreader bar, is it? Tired of the look of the bolt in spreader bars years ago, good to see someone else put a bit of individuality into a build!
