To add to both Jack and Roger's comments, there is another class of USPS flat rate boxes/rates under the designations "Regional A, B, C", each letter for a different size package and rate structure. These tend to be bigger sized boxes than the more familiar flat rate ones (relative to level). I find that 4 full wraps of tape (two width, two length) adds sufficient strength for most stuff, but that additional cardboard layer inside is helpful if something is "pointy" and could puncture when handled by the gorillas.
I'm a FEEBAY seller so I know all about packaging things. Extra tape extra cardboard and lots of packing material are the norm. With wrenches and sockets I would use some of my millions of wire ties to make sets so they would stay all together if the boys got a little rough with the box. I forgot about the if it fits it ships thing. I send mostly small things through USPS and big items I do FEDEX. For really big items I throw them under a bus. None have lost anything on me yet. FEDEX did damage a hood on me though but they paid for it.
Today was a big day. Big thanks to Bob, Carol, Tom, the wife, Amber and her BF for all the help. A nice little trip through town and a little grunt work and it's on the frame. I need to make some adjustments but everything is going to be just fine. I'm stoked beyond belief at how nice it looks. Just had to put it down on it's wheels to see how it looks. Now comes the fun part (actually seeing it all come together). The engine against the cream firewall is just insane kool. It's pretty tight though. Sorry for the crappy pictures but you get the idea.

Man that thing is low! 4" to the axle, 3-1/2" at the exhaust hanger, & 4" at the wishbone bracket. Gonna have to go slow over those speed bumps for sure!
It was a busy day today. I mounted the cowl lights, put the doors on (with the help of the wife), drilled the holes for the side mirrors, and fit the door handles. I also cut the knurls off the door pins. The reason for this is, I just want to tap the pins into place not press them in. I will be cutting them to length and cutting a groove on the end to put a c-clip to hold them in place.

Thanks Ryan, I finally got her all bolted down and shimmed do get the door gaps right. The last 2 hols here hell but we got em. The on to something easy I installed the coil on the firewall. Kinda nerve-racking drilling into fresh paint. I popped the grille on for effect (and to get it out of the way). She is looking pretty good. If I do say so myself.

I'm a fan of the big truck type headlights too Jerry and must admit, the '33/'34 Fords of any body type just lights my fire. Jim, you are creating one very fine looking beast here, so thanks for posting and allowing us to follow along.

I like big headlights as well (it's okay my wife knows...LOL) Those are stock car size Drake reproductions not commercial truck lights. To me the cars of this era look hokey with 7" Dietz lights on them. Though I will admit I have a soft spot for the guide 682-C lights. In fact I was going to use them. I had a set on there and just couldn't pass up the bigger stock units. Thanks to all of you for watching. Your comments make it all worth while. Well, that and the fact that I get to drive this bitch some day kinda does it for me as well.
