Is it possible to have to many wire ties? LOL..
Looks nice but what is the "bulbous" thing in the tranny line?
Thanks for the info Jack..
Yup spot on Jack. Again my OCD kicks in. I hear heat and fine metal particles are the main enemy of the 700R4 so I put this filter and a temp gauge just to be safe. I have also heard of several people killing their transmission with anti-freeze because radiators are known to corrode in the transmission cooler area. So I went with a stand alone cooler. I have gone to great lengths to do everything the right way on this car so it will function as good as it looks. I'll probably drive it the first time and it will be a blast. Then I'll park it in my driveway and walk away from it and it will fall apart like a car in a keystone cops comedy.:D
Can one really ever have too many wire ties? This is one of about 5 stashes I have. Small medium and large take your pick. The last place I worked used wire ties like toilet paper. When they shut down and moved out of state they were throwing stuff away because it was cheaper to buy new. The place was so big you could drive your car in there. Pop the trunk and load-er up. Not just wire ties either; all kinds of stuff.

I got sick and tired of not being able to find a wrench when I needed to so for the swap meet this past weekend I went through all my wrenches and pulled out all the cheapo tools and sold a few sets. I kept all the Craftsman, S-K, and my gearwrenchs. The rest went bye bye.

This is the drawers "AFTER" I pulled all that stuff out.

Then I thinned it out even more and organized them. Now if I want a 5/8 wrench I reach in and grab a 5/8 wrench. What a concept!

Next up...SOCKETS!
Sometimes less is more. It doesn't do much good to have ten of everything if you can't find even one.
Send the junk wrenches to me, ill make 'em into a scrap art sculpture!
Just keep in mind that those white zip ties are not UV protected and will get brittle if in direct sun light. Yours are primarily under your body, I was just letting you know in case you didn't. If you have a bunch of extra sockets and wrenches for sale, I have a brother starting a new job and needs a lot of hand tools. I'm sure he'd be interested in your stuff.
I noticed the padlock in the draw, hope you ain't like me........ now where did I put the keys to that......
Yup I know but thanks for reminding me. In a past life I was an injection molding process tech (23+ years) my plastic knowledge is pretty diverse. As for the tools; I'm selling off the china stuff. Most guy's scoff at the thought of owning these but I'll tell ya I have owned most for over 30 years and have only broken one. I will admit I am not one to push things. If it isn't coming loose I won't put a bar on a wrench I will bust out the heat and it gets it most times. I was getting $10 a set at the meet but I would think shipping would be cost prohibitive. Tools get heavy pretty quick. What's his location?
He lives in Iowa too. You're probably right on the shipping killing the deal.
