Dave, I am not here to criticize anything or anyone, but in welding class many years ago we where taught that a pretty weld and integrity generally go hand in hand. The fallen stack of nickles appears that way because of the penetration it has below, if it doesn't have penetration it will appear to high or tall. I am not saying a ugly weld can't be sturdy either, what I am saying is beautiful welds do not mean they are inferior, and if I was to bet my life on a weld (and have) it dang sure better be pretty than ugly, I am not saying anything about your work but I don't want anyone reading this to think they can put down a wad of bubble gum weld on a suspension part and say "Its got great penetration" and go out and drive the thing and end up in a accident, like I mentioned give me the pretty correct weld, as they have lasted on hotrods for many years and I feel very comfortable riding in them. Keep pluggin' away! MatthyjWhy is mine so big and yours so small, Chrysler FirePower
