running out of fuel seems to be up there in the reason for small plane crashes .
John Denver had fuel-he just couldn't reach the fuel tank selecter from the pilots seat
We had the plane all built as originally built, air pressurized tank, when the owner got it he changed the system to electric pump. We suspect lack of pressure to supply the 700 CID engine . It will be corrected before he gets it back, perhaps some Hotrod pumps and regulators.
The new running boards look great and so do your inner fenders! That is a bummer to hear about the airplane but I guess it being damaged a little is sure better than what could have happened.
Its been awhile since my last post, still working on my truck just slow going. here's a few pic's
Looks great!! The stance is awesome! What rims are you running?
Wheels are dirty, 17 inch, wanted 16's but disc brakes wouldn't allow, tires are smaller than I wanted but I had to get clearance for tight turns. I'm tired of learning the hard way but that's been that way all through this build.

Pic is with air bags at full extension, ride height is aprox 2" lower
Doing some work on the bed. Over a year ago I assembled the bed, epoxy primed and colored all parts that would be unseen. Between the sub rail and sides etc. After all the bolting was done there still was some welding that needed to be done, so after the welding all was cleaned and primed with epoxy and top coated with 2k. Present day I sanded the 2k and began looking for the flaws that I was sure I'd fine. A bit of block sanding and all the spot welds showed up asap. sanded down to the metal in some places so more epoxy was applied. The pictures show the spot welds , there very 3 inches down each side of the bed rail. the rails are not flat but have a small bend right where they spot welded them together. The whole point to this rambling is that I hate body filler but I think it will be a necessary evil to make the bed look good.
Happy 4th of July ]
A little filler is not a bad thing. When it's a 1/4 inch thick ... well, then you know it's probably junk underneath.
As always, you're doing a good job. Happy 4th to you also.
The good thing here is theres NO filler on this bed that I didn't apply , its all new
I doubt there's a vehicle on this site that doesn't have filler in it. It's a normal and necessary.
