nice progress! Now that taxes are filed I'm long over due to get it moving again
more work on bed and fenders, lots on fenders
That looks like a lot of work. No fun working on antique metal.
Is that "dimple" for a spare?
I have to give you credit for saving the old fenders, I got sick of it and went with new on the rear, but using as much of the original as possible is better IMO.
Nice work on the fender!!
A lot of work, I eliminated the spare tire well on the front fender of my 37 Dodge, and probably had less than 1/2 the welding you are doing. I was lucky, AZ truck so the metal was still solid.

I blasted the bottom rear of the rear fender today and it will need to be completely redone/fab'ed from fresh metal , oh the joy. pic's coming
The rust worm had its fill. This is the lower rear of the rear fender, going to be a lot of work no patch panel for this

Oh my that is a mess. Some of my fenders were hammered on and stretched so much I don't know how I could find the original shape again. Also lots of stress cracks in the thin old metal. Good luck with that, it should be challenging.
Its been awhile since I posted anything on my truck, I keep working on it but seem to get no where. I thought I had good running boards but it turned out to be all body filler and lots of bad meal work so I got new ones from Midwest Early Ford. Front fenders just need blocking out and the rears are still looking like Swiss cheese.
I have been playing with colors, I painted the inter fender wells to get a better idea of what it really looks like the paint chips just don't work for me.
The plane is back at the shop for repair, they flew it without enough fuel and crash landed in a corn field, broke wings, landing gear, motor mounts and a $10,000 radiator. Its just about repaired now. I think I'll see if Forest Gumps Moma can go supervise the next flight.

Hey! Navy.. good to see you post an update. That's good news on the truck (for the most part.) I'd think you'll be miles ahead (pun intended) by getting the new boards. How was the overall fit? Straight bolt-on? or a lot of "fitting" to be done? The rust worm sure did a lot of harm to those fenders!
I guess Darwin was a passenger on that plane trip!!! Change the name of that plane to "Job Security" LOL....
