Kinda looks like the Great Pumpkin with those bales in the back!

I have called it the pumpkin truck before.

Just been working here. Using and driving the 72 every day. I need to find time to finish stuff up on it. Thanksgiving day I took the boys to do chores at my parent's place and they both got to ride in it. They love it. I have created little truck monsters my wife says.

I'm trying to wrap up this 00 Dodge build. I started installing the engine in the truck today but it was fighting me pretty good so I stopped. Tomorrow is another day. Here are some pics of the engine masked and after paint. Then there's the valve cover I messed up. I got into the color with the sander when I was sanding the top. I masked it off and tried to blend in the areas but it just made the color darker since it is a transparent color, and you can see the color variance by the C and 2. I wasn't too happy so I sprayed clear on it and said the heck with it. It's better than the ugly one it had on there. i'm trying to get this thing done because the cold weather is almost here and i don't want to be doing it in the snow!

We'll just call it a "color variance" for a more..... dramatic statement!

What does one of those weigh? Just curious.

They weigh around 1250 with turbo, accessories, and oil in them.

Looks like a fun project. Before I started to work on my Plymouth I build a CJ7. That was a fun project because it was different than working on a car. He are some picks of the completed project

This morning my youngest brother came over and helped me get the engine set in this truck. It's a pain trying to line up the input shaft, get the angles correct, wiggle and push one of these in by your self. Now to get the rest finished up and get it fired up, broke in, and gone.

The grill isn't nearly that heavy.

I have gone for awhile, wow, this is a great build. My favorite year Chevy with a Cummins. I am a ag mechanic by trade so diesels always get my attention.

If I ever had a fuel or any other leak out front and easy to get at I have to be dreaming. That with cold weather its just one laugh after another... I feel your pain Our snow is supposed to stop here late Sunday

Another one is done and gone. Ignore the huge oil mess in front of the dodge. The governor springs were a big PITA and every time you have to adjust them almost all the oil from the governor housing runs out making a big old mess.

Back to working on the Ford project. I've got the short block assembled, got the trans and tcase painted and installed back in the truck, got the cam gear swapped on to the new Colt cam, installed the lifters and guide plates, and started installing 1 head this morning. Hopefully I can have the engine wrapped up so I can paint it soon. I'm ready to get this truck done and gone too.

I'll bet you're glad to see things moving along.
I've never done one of those Governor Spring jobs, are they always so messy? Dang, you gotta add in a bag of speedi-dri and disposal costs to that job!
