I think one of the time honored traditions of hot rodding was the "use what you have" mentality. It's interesting how some people react to this build. Most people are cool but a few on some other sites have made negative comments. I sure didnt set out to ruffle anyone's feathers; it's a simple matter of already having the parts, doing it on a low budget, and the challenge of making it work. Does it really matter what side of the pond the engine block and pistons were cast on? America is #8 on the list of iron producing countries so I'd say it's a fair bet that most 350 Chevys started life elsewhere.
