Nice thread and rebuild! I missed this one. My first car was a 1968 Mustang coupe. Still wouldn't mind getting another!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve. "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

 Cool Go-Kart w\ horses! LOL...
I had almost the same car, 67 GT, 390 GT 4 speed, even had the factory GT steering wheel. It had been a drag racer with a 428. Fella built it in 1970 and raced it some, Then in 1971 he was involved in a wreck in his daily driver. He ended up in the hospital for over a year. The Mustang sat until 1983 when I bought it. I put it back to stock, we had to drag that 390 out of the guys basement! Good thing I was young then! LOL..

I kept the car for 17 - 18 years and sold it to do the 34 coupe.

Mike those 390's will melt some tires . I had a quick thought of moving the 31 for another , but if this Cougar comes thru , he has to find the title . Think I may be done .

Yeah Bobby! Launch @ 3 grand in 2nd and watch the smoke! And with the locker she would spend so much time sideways I had to keep the windows down in the doors! HAH!

Police seemed to frown on this practice... "exhibition of speed" they called it. Just no sense of humor!

Down here its called'sustained loss of traction'',and if the boys in blue see(smell)you,,its a impounded car for 28 days,@ about $12/day,and loss of license as well.. But,I found the delights of Mustang GT 390 fastbacks about 30 years ago, when bringing one back to the paintshop I worked at..Yup.sideways,smokin..yeehaa,,kool stuff..Actually didnt intend to do it,but with a damp road,it just sorta ''happened''.. Thats one Mustang I would love to own,,but dont want to sell my house to pay for it... Thats one Mustang I would love to own,,but dont want to sell my house to pay for it... Micah 6:8
