That does help, thanks. I'm a little afriad of the home improvement type insualtion because I have heard stories of it falling off in extreame heat conditions, but mostly all yours is on the floor it seems so hopefully you'll be fine. Hushmat, I thought, costs just about as much as Dynamat. I was looking at some other alternatives like Eastwood or one other I can't remember the name of. I have heard that full coverage is not needed, but thought it might be hard to find that compromise. The thing that confuses me about Dynamat is all the extra layers they try to sell you plus they claim no thermal properties in the base foil layer.

Yeah, I've heard of stories about the peel n stick stuff too but never from someone who it actually happened to so I figured I would give it a shot. I got a mil discount when I purchased the hushmat so it came in cheaper than the dynamat.

I always wondered if the stuff you buy at the flooring stores to float wood floors over a base layer would work. It is foil wrapped, has insulatory and sound deadening properties, and I have a fairly large roll of it in the garage leftover from doing a cork floor project 5 years ago!

Not alot of progress lately. I did get the heater working just in time for the temps to go back up. Man those deluxe heater controls are pricey.... I ended up just rebuilding my original with new switches, arms and controls cables and these new cables work nice and smooth compared to the originals.

Here are some pics of my cowl vent doors after a little sanding and paint. In the a.m. I will put another coat of paint, new seals and install them with new cables as well. I know you can't even see these things when they are installed but I like to be thorough...
