Fewer joints is always better, and some very nice looking mounts!! They should be plenty strong enough.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thanks Dave. The steering has definitely smooothed out with fewer joints.
Thanks falconvan. I don't have my own CNC laser cutter or mill. I just had to draw it out, get it put on CAD by our "guy" and send it for laser cutting.
It worked out cheaper doing this as I got almost 400 bucks for the parts I returned.
LOL. And if my brother in law had fewer joints , maybe I could understand what he's talking about.

Those are sharp looking, Pugsy! Do you have your own CNC machine?

You have inflicted the desire to take a torch to all my metal working tools and melt them.
But I'm sure you didn't mean to.
Lovely work, very nice..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Hey Bobby.
I've been working on the hood. I was going to save it for a Baileigh tech contest on Allmetalshaping.com but I couldn't finish in time so I will post some progress on that later.
Also been busy around the house and drawing up plans for a second story addition. If that happens it will be about a 2 year hot rod vacation for me.
This weekend, I'm hosting a metal shaping meet at my work place. We had 19 guys show up yesterday from 2 different web sites. A great bunch of guys. Hopefully we have a good turn out today.
Next week, I just need to plant some bushes and then the yard work will be done and hopefully back at it.
I did manage to tack in one of the new mounts before moving the car to the shop for the meet.

Thanks,Last edited by 123pugsy; 04-29-2012 at 03:44 AM.

Be great if we had a metal shaping class nearby that went into depth on what it really is . I have seen so much on it and restoration on parts that no longer exist . I have a good idea but would like to get my hands on with a master shaper .

Every fall, Metalmeet.com holds a week long metal meet in Oblong ,IL. Looks to be about 4 hours south of you. Last time I went, the cost was 100 bucks.
There is also Allmetalshaping.com. There are regional meets going on all the time. I just hosted one in Toronto a few weeks ago.
Check out these two sites and you can learn a lot.

Thanks Pro.
I love the green you picked out for yours. I'm kinda using your car as a guinea pig with the color you're using. Seeing as the body styles are from the same era, it should give me a good idea.
How long before yours hits the paint shop?

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
