I like little oval head screws with a countersink head for that location. With the right countersink in the molding they're flush around the edge but stand very slightly proud with a bit of crown, and I like the Phillips head over slotted, but that's just personal preferences.
Yes Roger thats the screws i'm gonna look for, I think they are called raised head countersunk.
