Wish I knew that before I tossed an old cast iron frying pan with a crack down the middle. That old pan was so well seasoned we used it with the crack for years, until oil seeped through it while we were cooking, and it became a fire hazard!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

there is photos of blocks with busted off lifter bores with holes below were a sleeve would not fixed it were i welded them up . photos in my gallery i have put in oil pan rails in many dart big m blocks as sleeve all 8 holes.re lined oiling galleys of blocks were rods busted threw a oil galley or were bored threw with a boring bar (bone heads) not to many thing i have not fixed on a iron block doing two bbc 10.200 blocks were they needed sleeves .one was cracked at the lower part of bore then up and out on to the deck threw a head bolt hole and over to the outside of the block. both fixedLast edited by pat mccarthy; 06-26-2013 at 01:18 PM.
