    I would encourage you to check the motor for level before cutting a hole in your hood.
    The photos show the scoop as not level with the cowl.
    I am not (repeat NOT ) finding issue with your work.. LOL Just trying to help.
    You have come a long way with that driveway build of yours. I love it!

    Scott the motor is level, what your looking at is it mocked up with bits of wood, all were different thicknesses, its only to get the height right. Thanks for the concern.
