Thread: oval and SQ port heads

Dave i seen them but the pic shows the oval port gaskets . Now does this really matter there add didn't list it as being oval just for small block fords . Maybe its just confusing me and it shouldn't and there is no real differencs maybe i should contact a exhaust place and ask if there really is a difference But the kids working don't know that much either .. Here is a pic .

You know just looking at the pic I just posted it looks like the shorties were resrtictive anyway with the carbon mark on flange . Maybe the oval port gives more clearence for the gasses to excape ???
