i run them 1/2 way up alot of the heat is about 1 inch down from the deck. but they seam to heat soak 1/2 filled but it will help the block tie in the bottom of the bores and oil pan rail from flex were more bolts in the bottom of the block just make for a weaker block .short fill and girdle with good grade studs you should be good for some HP i do not know on ford decks but i have plug the deck up with soild iron pipe plugs and drill them out smaller to the size of the holes in the head gasket then i deck the block this help s alot toLast edited by pat mccarthy; 10-30-2007 at 09:03 PM.
