    Tells me it's St Patricks Day!

    C17 would be March 17th. If there's a number before the C post it as it can be the year ending of the casting. Looking at it's a C1AE-C block number it can be a 61 or 62 year date normally.

    Actually the C1 indicates the first year that casting was built. If Ford used the same casting molds for years, they all will say C1... on them.

    For a casting number yes but for the block date code not so much.
