The only way that would make sense is if the wire was insulated in some manner such as lacquered wire used in the construction of electric motors. A properly stripped wire and crimped connector will not add any appreciable resistance/impedance to the system. Even a good quality VTVM/VOM will not accurately measure the resistance/impedance of a coil of wire. For that you would need something on the order of a Wheatstone Bridge.
