    Question help!!!

     



    hey guys (and/or gals);
    i just put heads from a 1964 ford galaxie on my 1976 f-100 witha 390. after the first try it ran but had an intake gasket leaking, secound time i got the intake gasket leak stopped but can't get the thing to start to save my life. its on #1 tdcc, coil is hooked up, fuel is getting to the carb, etc.... i am drawing a blank on what it might be.

    Just be sure your simple stuff is covered: Be sure coil is Good, and check all connections. check your points?? Gas or spark is sure to be your prob. Good luck.

    Check timing / dist position. I assume you had it out to fix leak? Might be off 1 tooth or out 180 eegrees.

    Was it very late, or the beer too good?

    may be funning too rich. The intake leak gave the engine the air it required for the proper mixture.
