    just use a dura spark. I had a 65oo lb van with a 477,.080 bore with a rv cam and a 600 holley, ran 9.30s in the 1/8. eng was put in a gutted must and ran in the 7.0s with a 4500 rpm cam. you can make 500 hp real easy and reliable. you have most of the parts.

    its got a dura spark in it now, i want something different, i think im going with the HEI ,,

    Use a large cap ford duraspark II style dist coupled wit an MSD 6 box. This dist is the same as what MSD uses. I have used this setup on a 10 second falcon with no problems or maintenence for the last 6 years. Bombproof..

    will look into it, after driving it today i seen gas dripping out of the carb at the butterfly linkage, i had rebuilt the carb about 3 months ago, was planning on using it with the build up, guess ill just go ahead and buy a new carb as well, about the only thing thats going to left of the original engine now is the block
